Arbitrary Box Office Results for the Weekend of June 23, 2006

Another week, another new release or two to cram down our gulley-holes. "Superman" opens Wednesday, so he won't be on this week's Arbitrary list, but just be aware that he'll be dominating the next few--at least until that movie about pirates comes out.

This week was "Click," as well as "Waist Deep." Yeah. Exciting.

1. Sick (Click): $23 million. Have you ever had one of those dreams that was just there? I mean, just so damn boring that you wake up in the middle of the night out of sheer boredom and don't want to go back to sleep because it will probably still be really boring? I had one of those the other night. And "Click"? That's the movie equivalent of that dream.
   
2. Pixar Starts Sucking (Cars): $15.6 million. Honestly. Anybody see this? Pixar was s'posda be good.
   
3. The Speedy and the Angry (The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift):$11.1 million. "3 Fast 3 Furious" just didn't have a good ring, I guess.
   
4. Shitty Horror Movie #3537536 (Waist Deep): $10.7 million. I'm not even bothering to look up what this is about to make one of my patented lame jokes.
   
5. A Recipe For Shittiness (Nacho Libre): $10.3 million. The recipe: one talented, comedic actor, one talentless, hack director, one poorly-written script. Put it together and whaddya got? Bibbidy bobbidy boo.
   

NOT MAKING THE TOP FIVE: The Breakup. Will Vince Vaughn be so distraught that he leaves Hollywood forever? Fingers crossed.
