Put this music in your ear and smoke it

Welcome to the reinvigorated Thursday Music Spectacular.

That would have been better with the announcer from Sabado Gigante.

Five songs every Thursday. Sometimes in a theme. Sometimes entirely random. Either way, you have the Spoodles guarantee that the music will probably not suck.

I know there's another Thursday before Halloween, but you need some time to digest this chewy goodness and pick the gristle out of your teeth before we're into the Christmas season. Therefore, enjoy yourself some tasty Halloween beats.
  1. "Holloween" by The Gorgonites
  2. "Halloween With Morrissey" by Cheekyboy
  3. "Psycho Killer" by James Hall
  4. "Monster Mash" by The Count
  5. "This Is The Night (Theme From Garfield's Halloween Adventure)"
Check out The Gorgonites and Cheekyboy on MySpace. "Psycho Killer" is a cover of a Talking Heads song, and it comes from the soundtrack to 1998's Psycho. This version of the "Monster Mash" is from Sesame Street. "This Is The Night" is unavailable on CD. I ripped it from my Garfield DVD collection.

The MP3 archive is right here. The files tend to disappear after a month or two of inactivity, but there's still an assload of free music for your perusal.

So this has nothing to do with your post but did I ever tell you how Badly Drawn Boy totally ripped off Marvin Gaye in that one song they do...I don't remember the title, but it goes something like "The further I slide, I can't rationalize..." and "starting today we're on holiday." It's probably called "The Further I Slide." Anyhow, compare it to Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing."
